The Word Became Flesh

In those days, bread was a real meal, and so they used bread as a metaphor in most cases to indicate what God what wanted to do.

John 1:1-14

1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2  The same was in the beginning with God.

3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6  There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7  The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

We serve a God who created the earth, the heavens, the moon and the stars,

2. God revealed Himself through the Law of Moses

God is embodied in His Word. In those days when He gave the law to Moses, He told Moses to tell the people not to have any other god apart from Him because He is a jealous God.

Moses later discovered that the people had sin against this law.

God’s love regardless, continues to be shown to us on all sides of our lives.

John 3:14-15
14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 5:46
For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

Moses commanded food and Manna fell after the people had complained about hunger.

Let the Word of God become flesh in you

Until the Word becomes flesh in you, you will complain, be anxious, be bitter and continue to doubt.

God become flesh so that He could be real, transparent and touchable to us. He is a God of truth, peace, love, hope; the real feel.

God feels our pain, our worries and all our anxieties. If you can take Him for His word and He will never disappoint you.

God came to give us Grace

What do we have to do for God in return? God is not asking you to go and pay a bill or write a check but rather to surrender all to Him.
