The Power in The Name of Jesus
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
The Lord visited Mary when she had not met a man; she had a child called Jesus who came to deliver mankind from every sickness and every disease.
Jesus was on this earth to minister what HisFather had given unto him. He did not complain but obeyed and He was given a name above every other name.
Why is the name of Jesus above every other name?
Because of the sacrifice that Jesus made. He made a way for all of humanity to be saved and to be right with God.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13)
The name Jesus is powerful because of the person. Because of who He is and what He did.
Philippians 2:9-11
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
The name of Jesus compels us to worship Him and bring glory to The Father.
Every child of God is born to be a living wonder to the world according to God’s Word.
John 3:8
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
There is power and authority in the name of the Lord, but most people do not call upon His name nowadays.
The name of Jesus is full of wonders and brings signs and wonders to fill our lives when we call upon His name with confidence and faith.
The name of the Lord brings us peace and joy and brings people out of issues of life. There is healing and protection in the Name and blessings; the key to answered prayers.
When you pray in the Name of Jesus, you draw God’s attention; the Name of Jesus opens the doors of heaven.
John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
The name of Jesus is anointed and destroys yokes, breaking barriers and destroying demons. The Name brings hope and guarantees peace in troubled times.
Jesus Christ is the only one in living memory who has been able to claim equality with God and authority over heaven and earth; no other has been able to do so. This is a very critical statement.
Let us examine this:
- The power in The Name is the ability to authoritatively influence a decision that can bring goodness
- The power in The Name has the capacity to bring about change in one’s life
- The power in The Name has the capacity to control one’s environment including behaviour of other entitities
These are all accessible if you can believe on that Name. At the mention of That Name, every religious or financial power must bow down to the name. Military and governmental powers must bow down to that name.
Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
In any situation you find yourself, call upon the name of Jesus and He will show Himself so great to you.
Jesus is the one who can get things done; not other idols or gods.
John 14:13
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.John 14:14
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.John 16:24
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
The name of Jesus reveals the love of God. You can use The Name of Jesus over and over again without limits. In the Name you can find everything you need this year.
God Loves You
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
All men have sinned and fallen short of God’s Glory, yet God made the provision of eternal life for you through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ. If you wish to be saved to day, kindly say this prayer:
Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me even though I am a sinner.
I surrender my life to you as my Lord and saviour.
Thank You for saving me, in Jesus Name. Amen
