My Quite Time This Morning
1 For the LORD Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth.
Psalm 47:2 (NKJ)
We are 16 days already in 2020, Are you enjoying God’s blessings?
Questions:
- Who is your most High?
- Why you should see Him as your great King?
- What are the benefits of His kingship?
Lessons:
In Exodus 19 the Lord came down in a thick cloud with lightning and thunder on Sinai, and He said to Moses in verse 21, “Go down and warn the people so they do not force their way through to see the Lord and many of them perish.” In Exodus 20:18 we read, “When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke they trembled with fear.”
They were afraid of hearing God less they die. There was both an attraction, for they wanted to see God, But they were afraid of God. The tension was good for it aroused their curiosity to know God and what He was revealing to Moses. Yet, fear kept them from running into the awesome presence of God.
Friend ! the character of God is what determines the ultimate destiny of the universe. God is love, and His love is holy which proves His awesomeness and greatness here on earth.
I dare you today to see how Big and awesome of the God we serve .
Beloved the prophet Isaiah said “Woe to me “I cried,” I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the king, the Lord Almighty.”
Judgment is never God’s choice, for it is forced upon Him by man’s lack of choosing to respect His Word and holiness. In both love and judgment it is very clear that our God is an awesome God.
Prayer ?
Dear Lord my God
I praise you as my Jehovah Rapha, my God who heals, and for being Jehovah Rah, My faithful Shepherd. You are not just King, but you are King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. And yes, you are Jesus, the name above all names.
I trust you with my life today .
