Happy Thanksgiving!
On behalf of the staff here at Hilltop United Methodist Church, I want to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving Season.
Without a doubt, we could spend much time focusing on the many things going wrong in our Nation, Due the Covid19 pandemic but I want to remind us of the tremendous importance and calling we have to be a people of Thankfulness!
1 Chronicles 16:34 (NKJV)
34 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
It seems so appropriate that before we get to “the most wonderful time of the year”, that we take a few moments to express our thanks to God.
For many people Thanksgiving is a day to eat too much and watch football for the entire day. Yet, we as Christians know it goes far deeper than that, even though we may enjoy those things as well.
We honor our past and press forward with the knowledge that tomorrow will be better than today. We are Christians. That’s the vision we won’t lose sight of. That’s the legacy that falls to our generation. That’s the challenge that together, we are going to meet him soon.
To every member, I am thankful for the privilege of being your Pastor.
To all our members away from home and those serving in the military, I am honored to be your pastor too. And from the Orgen family to yours, have a very Happy Thanksgiving.
